Yeast Bud Memory Drive

The Yeast Bud Memory Drive or YMD is a MycoTech storage device, that uses dynamic geometry to scale the size of the yeast network which continuously creates chains of new memory yeast buds. The YMD are written to and read from, using light to transmit information across any individual yeast memory cell as well as the collective chains.
