Slugger

A Slugger is a specialist Chopper who is adept at bypassing or breaking the SSB (ShiroNet Slug Barrier) of sapient, sub-sapient, and sentient beings with a Slug.


Sluggers are Neuro divers, who use the unsanctioned toolkit called Sluggy NSL to provide a wide range of healthcare services to people who have issues involving the Neural Networking of their Slugs. This includes and is primarily focused on those who have contracted the Arksys virus. The term “Slugger” is the self-given nickname to this loose, offshoot network of Pexyllers, derived from their specific focus within the ARG Pexyll and those affected by events within and around the ARG of Pexyll.


Sluggers are often found in areas that are a sufficient distance from a Neurodynne Center. While Sluggers are unsanctioned, they are mostly seen as a net positive for Lowbanner neighborhoods or communities that work in higher hazard areas.


Sluggers are registered Logik Users, and even though they are providing unsanctioned services, they don't often run into legal trouble, because they would bring attention to the controversial Lowbanner communities that provide "dirty job" services of TRPL 1, adjacent areas in reclamation status.


There is a small consortium of Sluggers who work for small companies or small multi-Ohnyluh franchises, called the Slugger's Guild. They function nearly identical to a sponsored Pexyll player, but are still unsanctioned and therefore any and all liability is accepted on behalf of the Slugger. In exchange they are given access to the latest and in some cases most experimental tech and techniques for Neuro-diving and Slug treatments.
