Highbanners and Lowbanners

The concept of Highbanner and Lowbanner is multi-tiered, because everyone earns a portion of bandwidth cache via the Hexabit earnings system, which is a form of guaranteed citizens income or basic income guarantee for bandwidth usage. But, there is an uneven system of earnings within the world.
A citizen automatically is paid Hexabit earnings simply because they have an MRU that is specifically tethered to them biologically. A person’s genetic signature, which is unique to them, is what allows them to earn Hexabit consistently. Their data is traded for these Hexabit earnings. Biological, geographical, as well as various socio-economical data, both online and offline, are all given to the GMUC in an effort to retain as much information about people, the environment and the lives therein, in an effort to not only create a new archive of existence, but as a preventative measure against a new data loss era arising.
This is all based on the agreement within the terms of service when a citizen of the GMUC is offered and accepts an MRU. While a person does not have to have an MRU, it is a tool of convenience and entertainment via its connectivity and for allowing the instant tracking of a person's allotted Hexabit earnings.
The amount in which you are allotted is generally determined by your region. Some areas are densely packed with thousands to hundreds of thousands to millions of people and are seen as high contributors to the solution of returning civilization to a pre-data loss era state.
That is the declaration by the GMUC as to why allocation of Hexabit works the way it does. Because in these more densely packed areas there's more bandwidth usage, there's more data transference, there's more replication happening, and there's more larger scale creativity happening. A lot of these population centers have businesses and universities that attract people of particular skill sets, who are determined to work towards returning civilization to a pre-data loss era state, while also ensuring that a future data loss era cannot occur.
In rural areas such as that where, Hidrodeskono also known as the Red Castle is located, data usage, and bandwidth usage is lower on purpose. They are set this way by the GMUC. And while people in those areas are still living their lives regularly and using technology the same as someone in a non-rural or densely populated area, such as major city complex; they are not allocated as much Hexabit.
This is because of many factors including the idea that they're not contributing as much to the forward momentum of the initiatives as proposed by the GMUC. This is a fallacy as a lot of times in these areas, such as outposts, rural towns, villages, and even pioneer settlements, the population are often the working class backbone to the higher bandwidth usage areas. These populations are the support systems.
There is debate whether or not this is on purpose or not, because a lot of issues exist in these populations on par with denser populations, the GMUC has determined that rural populations should be relegated as less resource intensive, and therefore the people within those regions should be allocated a smaller amount of Hexabit. The realities of life is that the cost of living isn't always different in a rural space as it is to an urban space. And that's beyond the cost of purchasing something. Everything within this system is essentially free but because of the damage done by the Data Loss Era, the GMUC has decided that there needs to be a bandwidth cap per person on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. But because rural spaces are undervalued in contrast to their Urban counterparts, replicating certain items will use up an individual person's Hexabit earnings faster than it would a person in a non-rural space such as an urban area. For example, replicating a pair of socks might cost a person in an urban area two Hexabit, but for someone in a rural area this would be the equivalent of four, or six Hexabit, simply because they have less in their account allocated to them. And while competition is highly encouraged in this society it is not always the end result.
One of the resulting side effects of the GMUC determining this specific bandwidth allocation system, is that it has produced a secondary way of living. This secondary way of living was also factored into the Hexabit earnings system by the GMUC, because their teams of sociologist, psychologists, and economists, came to a basic understanding about the population. This idea was that even if we are not made to go to work, we still find things to do that would be considered work.
Whether they be creative endeavors of our own, or duties assigned to us by a company, a business, or a collective of people with like-minded goals. Ultimately they discovered that even into a person’s advanced years, they still feel the need, or the compulsion to be active in some way. Crafting with one’s hands and using one’s mind to come up with solutions to simple and complex tasks, such as cleaning small spaces, gardening, animal husbandry, mechanical and digital maintenance, agriculture, etc. It was understood that, the things that people do don't have to be world shaping, so long as they are significant to that person in a fulfilling manner.
And from this understanding and execution of allowing people to pursue the personal fulfillment of work as determined by themselves, based around their needs and their wants, came the pathway for a system of additional Hexabit earnings. This ability for people to earn extra bandwidth created a separate version of the concept of Highbanner and Lowbanner, in that Highbanner people were those people that went out of their way to earn more Hexabit then what was allocated to them monthly. This has been observed to be a high driving force within certain cultural circles where getting the newest latest products to hit a scene is the determining factor in the need to earn more than the allotted Hexabit.
The term Highbanner is a contemporary aspersion used culturally by many young people; especially those who play Pexyll. It is in reference to pop culture collectors who chase trends in food, clothing, tech and toys; so closely that they spend all, or as close to all of their Hexabit earnings at every issuance.
It is considered in many circles to be a controversial aspect of civilization, in that it is being allowed by the GMUC, despite evidence that in regions considered rural, that Highbanners, although having the extra Hexabit earnings within their account, still generate high bandwidth use issues, replicator disruptions and long lines at Kiosks and stores offering trendy, new or limited item releases.
Highbanners, while the subject and target of cultural and YnntaNet ridicule, are not completely frowned upon, as they are known to work many extra jobs in order to afford their lifestyles, which is helpful to the wider population in terms of task management. But, it is seen by some as irresponsible of the GMUC to allow the existence of companies and corporations to encourage this behavior, because while not creating the cultural identity, they are said to be allowing companies and corporations the ability to seize on the moment by crafting their persona around it.
So, low costs in rural areas are not always happening. And often new products that are produced by a company or corporation that generally thinks of themselves as servicing a more urban audience, are still reaching a rural audience, which means those items may not reflect the region that they're being replicated in as determined by the cost of bandwidth used to replicate the item.
Most people in these rural areas are considered Lowbanners and have been found to often self ration their bandwidth usage, and save at least 40% of their Hexabit earnings in order to have some levels of overlap in case they need more for a special occasion, or in preparation for an unforeseen issue like a replication emergency.
Lowbanners are forced to deal with these bandwidth restrictions, regulations, or other service limitations that affect data transfer capabilities; creating slow and limited replication. This can cause issues with corruption, high degradation points as well as Arksys and Arkyne proliferation.
Nobanner, on the other hand is a term used on the YnntaNet social networks, for people of the general age to have a job (which is 15 for a part time job) who choose instead to not work a job and subsist exclusively off of their Hexabit earnings.
The classifications of Highbanner and Lowbanner has been adopted into general commercial lingo in reference to producers of products and services as well, allowing for major and minor replicative capacity and bandwidth usage cases.
