Fixed Source Replicator and Fixed Replication Unit

Fixed Source Replicator (FSR), or Fixed Replicator Units (FRU) are multi-limbed machines that weave the Mycotech materials into the programmed object. They are larger in scale than Mobile Replicator Units and have the ability to replicate large structures and objects. They are slower in the replication process as well as resource intensive, using far more bandwidth than a MRU. They are used in everything from construction of housing materials to transportation vehicles and some large scale objects of furniture.
In homebrewing, the DIY replication process often done by Pexyllers and Sluggers; a translucent chitinous material is used as a barrier in their low end FRU devices, keeping the rendering process contained as the possibility of replicating an Arkyne is higher than a commercially used FRU in a public or retail space.
One of the side effects of replication technology is the inequality of this tech. In many low banner communities, replicators are often damaged, quickly refurbished, older and non updatable models, which leads to inferior prints and increased risk of Arksys exposure and higher rates of Arkyne replicate attacks.
